Assailable//Agonism by Abandoncy

Without the means to protect yourself, the ability to see into the future provides nothing but a front row seat to abject horror, eyes glued open as people, places, ideas, communities, and intentions fall into the technocapitalist meat grinder. Assailable//Agonism by Abandoncy shrieks out in post hardcore fright, pointing out the mechanisms driving people against each other while hopelessly feeling their own feet swept away by the same unstoppable tide. Dynamic vocals play the main character role in this story, guiding the emotional tone of a band whose every note drips with tense darkness, whipping through passages of dissonant chugging and screamo crescendo before falling into deep ravines of defeated drone. By the end of this outburst, we’ve come no closer to salvation, but the opportunity to break our stunned silence and reach a roaring catharsis makes watching hell emerge on earth a little less frightening, if only for a moment.
