Endings by Infinite Future Band

Endings by Infinite Future Band

Full Spectrum Records has been operating for over fifteen years, and to cap off their impressive output, the label and their frequent collaborators came together to provide a final testament to the nature of experimental music. The result, Endings by the aptly named Infinite Future Band, paints an abstract image of creative cooperation, highlighting the adventures of the honest artist in their search for emotional truth. For most of the record, the collaborators work feverishly to overcome a tense sonic stalemate, tinkering with a variety of pristine, precise sounds and inevitably creating chaos in their wild trial and error. In this tension we find the frantic need to make a point, the understanding that soon the artist’s chance to communicate their point will pass forever. Later on, however, the band finds increasingly durable harmonies in their experimentation, combining their enigmatic voices and esoteric sounds to create something carnal, believable, and biological. Through this process, we understand experimental expression as a series of hard-fought creative victories, connecting with us in ways that cookie-cutter mass-market media never could.
