From Word to Flesh by Mamuthones

Hope increasingly feels less natural, more contrived, and sometimes downright impossible. Italian experimentalists Mamuthones overcome this hope deficiency on From Word to Flesh by ritualizing our optimism, creating an automatic mechanism for future creation that ensures we always have something to look forward to. This mechanical methodology emerges most aggressively through a steady, krautish rhythm section, supporting the band as they explore the various hopes to apply to this hope machine. Throughout, the fundamentally desperate nature of our surroundings penetrate the proceedings, manifesting as mounting anxiety that arises from a wide variety of tightly cycling instrumentation, but given enough time every bit of unease folds into the base of this moderating rhythmic force. Tomorrow will come, regardless of how hard we pray to retain our current state of halfway-eradicated wellbeing; we have no choice but to fall under the wheels of the relentless plow of time or hoist ourselves up onto a mental, perhaps delusional contraption of our own making.
