INSIDE NOISE: Brat by Charli XCX

As a deeply emotional slice of life expressed through club bangers, the long awaited release Brat by Charli XCX is the perfect album to get your limbs pumping wildly at a party with tears streaming down your face. Charli's songwriting skills are on full display this time as she treats each song as an entry in her diary; from her experience mourning Sophie's death to drug-fueled nights as a narcissistic partygirl to petty grievances with her peers, each track is relatable, authentic, and vulnerable to a degree that artists like taylor swift aspire to reach yet struggle to capture. Charli is not just in her bag emotionally here but also production-wise as she uses some of the clearest bass frequencies I've heard this year. Every production choice made only strengthens the club banger sound her fans have been begging for. I think this was worth the wait and will absolutely destroy my spotify wrapped. 9/10.
