The Hidden Anxieties of Imprecise Lines by Haunted Disco

We face constant infusions of dopamine that our ancestors could only have conceived of as heavenly, meaning that we now have more opportunities to lose control than ever before. Though our various addictions, fixations, and habits impact all corners of our lives, The hidden anxieties of imprecise lines by Haunted Disco zooms in on our capacity to ruin our romantic relationships with our self-destructive behavior. Haunted Disco employs a variety of genres and styles that all get treated to a distinct lofi aesthetic, making every second of this release almost uncomfortably intimate. Over time, the somewhat upbeat, poppy feeling gives way to melancholic despair, and Haunted Disco’s words fall increasingly into dark thought loops. Until our speaker gets a resolution once and for all, until they know for sure whether their lover really intends to leave them or if this is all an insecure delusion, they see no other choice but to vent, to channel their dreaded loss into depressive bedroom music that invites us into their spiral as well.
