Unbidden by Tantric Bile

Many cultures share the concept of a negative drive that exists in every person, which in overabundance causes all human evil. This familiar drive sings with a voice of its own on Unbidden by Tantric Bile, a freely improvised goregrind album that searches for the darkest, loneliest corner of your consciousness. Growling grindcore vocals slash our humanity into a formless, grotesque mass, using blasting percussion and a chaotic roar of piano, synths, guitar, and untold numbers of other instruments and sounds to animate a breathing, swelling, pulsating monster. At first glance, the sounds of this album feel too absurd and exaggerated to resonate, but a deeper honesty with ourselves reveals similar alienation with at least one of our own thoughts. When we reject this album’s boiling, blistering emotional intensity, we remind ourselves that we must eventually confront our negative drives head-on, finally allowing us passage through this spiritual adolescence to an ideal moral absolute.
