Cosmia 800 by Seaplane

If you’re into the classic indie rock records of the 90s, pay attention, because I’ve just found you a band that probably would’ve made one of those if they’d been born 30 years earlier. The band Seaplane, which we couldn’t find any details about online, recently released their second studio album Cosmia 800, and to describe this record as underrated would do everything we found here an extreme disservice. Layered vocals that call back to early Modest Mouse and longform guitar anti ballads with 90s college radio written all over them steer this album into deeply emotional territory, driving the point-blank poetic lyricism of Seaplane home in ways that no other sound could. Someone needs to give this band enough money to quit their jobs for a few months and get into a proper studio; who knows what kind of classic record we’d get out of a session like that?
