Parched by Salisman & His Unwavering Circle

As the newest addition to the Salisman series, concept album Parched tells the story of the long-abandoned House of the Unwavering Circle. The listener is a fly on the wall as Salisman navigates a now desolate world once filled with character, reflecting on the evidence of calamity and failure surrounding him. Our hero is passively determined to see a way through the bleakness as deeply textured sounds build tension with a light drone blanketing the project. Syncopated industrial percussion brings us into this post-apocalyptic space while scraping guitars and twinkling synths add detail to the overgrown house we have set out to explore. Fans of early Flaming Lips projects will enjoy this project’s storytelling concept and musical complexity. -Carrie
